      The Atlassian Team is already working on Oauth2 support for IMAP (JRASERVER-63917).
      This request is specifically for the ability to use a delegated user account to access the shared mailbox via IMAP Oauth2.
      There is a bug in the current IMAP implementation and this would be a good opportunity to implement this via OAUTH2:

            Hi everyone,

            I am closing this Feature Request as it was never a valid one from the beginning. It is actually possible to configure a shared mailbox with a Jira Mail Handler, along with the IMAP protocol and the Oauth 2.0 authentication method.

            Please check the Scenario 2 from the KB article https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/jira-mail-handler-and-service-management-mail-handler-cannot-be-configured-using-oauth-2-0-due-to-incorrect-mailbox-permission-1097178335.html on how to configure this.
