Horizontal scroll bar is only displayed at the bottom of the screen on issue navigator

      Thanks for all the feedback, it helped us to understand how much the change affected your work. We decided to revisit the decision and revert the changes in the next Jira ER 8.5.4 release and subsequent Jira 8.x.x bugfix releases, while we're working on making the scroll experience more robust for all users.

      Issue Summary

      Since Jira 8.3.2, to address rendering issues in the issue navigator when users added more field columns than fit on the screen, users now need to navigate to the bottom of the screen to see a horizontal scroll bar and navigate to the remaining columns.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Access to JIRA JQL filter search
      2. Add more columns into the search results
      3. Perform a JQL search query

      Expected Results

      Actual Results

      Users will also be unable to drag and drop columns to the right most side if horizontal scroll bar is present.

      Workaround

      Horizontal scrolling is available by using:

      • Touchpad
      • Shift + mouse scroll
      • Keyboard arrows
