Eliminate apps downtime while performing app update in Jira Server

Atlassian Update – 12 September 2019 Hi everyone, we have created this suggestion because we are aware that apps downtime during the app upgrade process in Jira Server ends with users not being able to use the app. After carefully analysing the current architecture of apps management in Jira Server we are unable to provide this functionality without completely rebuilding how apps currently work. This is the reason, we have set the status of this ticket to “not being considered” for Jira Server. Due to clustering architecture available in our Jira Server Data Center edition, we are considering adding such functionality there.
