Actually (when creating an issue) component / version selector is a multi-select list.
This is not optimal.
1) user can click "accidentally" on an unwated item (thus, changing his selection)
2) when the list of possible items contains 10 - 15 items and when item #1, #6 and #10 are choosen, user has to scroll the list to find selected items
So, such selectors should be of (what i call) type "shuttle" (see attached sketch)
Would be great if atlassian provide a "shuttle" customfieldtype.
Available in jira : the soonest is the best......
