Summary:
JIRA Health Check is showing the "Check" symbol for Database collation even though it is not supported.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Set the system locale to en_US.UTF-8
- Install Postgres and create a database where the collation would be en_US.UTF-8
- Install JIRA and connect it to the newly created database.
- Follow the Setup Wizard until it finishes.
- Navigate to "Troubleshooting and support tools" page.
Expected Result:
- JIRA Health Check will show the warning for the Database Collation.
Actual Result:
- JIRA Health Check would have the "Check" icon for the database just like there is no issue even though there is with the message below:
The database collation 'en_US.UTF-8' is unsupported by JIRA. The Table collation 'DEFAULT' is supported by JIRA. A limited number of circumstances could cause unexpected results.
