Description
Issue Summary
When creating a subtask, if the user tries to use the inherited parents' attachments via Description field function "attachment", it will show the file as included in the textbox, but after creating the issue, for most file types, it will just add the file name as text, and not the file. For png files it will just add the error:
Unable to render embedded object: File (filename.png) not found
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a parent Issue including one or more attachments.
- Create SubTask from said issue.
- At the screen for Subtask creation, go to the Description field and using the Attachment function (Screen1.png) select one or more attachments, the thumbnail(if image) or filename as a link (if a text file) will be shown in the text area (Screen02.png).
- Fill other necesary fields and Create SubTask.
Expected Behavior
JIRA would show the image or file attached to the subtask.
Actual Behavior
No attachment is added and at the Description of the Subtask, a render error is shown (If the file is an image, Screen3.png) or just a text with the filename instead of the actual files.
Cause
Unknown.
Workaround
Download the parent issue's attachments and attaching them as any regular attachment at the subtask creation screen.
Notes:
- Browser independent (tested in Chrome 58, Firefox 52 and MS Edge 40).
- Tested with different filenames, different lenghts, with and without "-" or any special symbols.
