      Problem Definition

      Currently JIRA does not provide an option to edit the E-mail templates via GUI, and the only way to edit the templates is by navigating to atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/email/ of the <jira-application-dir> in your JIRA installation directory and manually editing those files. In addition, this form of customization is also unsupported as per the Atlassian Support Offerings .

      Suggested Solution

      Provide the users with the ability to edit those files through the GUI or provide an alternative simpler method.
