      Summary

The JIRA audit log does not include screen changes described in Auditing in JIRA applications.

      Repro steps

      1. Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
      2. Create a new screen (gg > Screens > Add Screen),
      3. Add fields to the first tab on the screen.
      4. Go to gg > Screen Schemes and select any screen scheme.
      5. Select Associate an issue operation with a screen.
      6. Choose any issue operation and select the screen you just created.
      7. Select Add.
      8. View the Audig Log (gg > Audit Log).

      Expected Results

The Audit Log contains events describing the following changes:

      • Screen field configuration changed
      • Screen scheme edited
      • Etc

      Actual Results

No audit log entries exist which refer to screen changes of any kind.
In JIRA 7.4 some operations on screens are reflected in Audit Log, namely editing fields on screens (adding field, removing it, changing order) and editing tabs (adding, removing, changing order)

      Workaround

Navigate to the Audit Log settings and change the Coverage level for "Global configuration and administration" to "Advanced".
