    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

Currently if you have a license for JIRA Core, JIRA Software, or JIRA Service Desk (applies to both, evaluation and commercial licenses) and it expires, it will disable activity for users that are associated with a valid commercial license, as documented in this KB article.

      Suggested Solution

      • Disable only the functions relevant to the expired license.

      Why this is important

      • This can cause unnecessary customer friction and/or confusion for both admins and users who are associated with a valid license.

      Workaround

      • Remove the expired license(s).
