Description
Summary
When we have configured JIRA to a read-only Crowd user directory and Crowd is connected to a delegated LDAP , the synchronization of users should happen when they try to login, however, this does not happen and the users which are logging in for the first time are not allowed to login until the directory is synchronized by the synchronizing service which runs at the specified interval of time (default 60 mins) in the directory Configuration in JIRA.
Environment
JIRA 6.3.15 and Crowd 2.7.0
JIRA 6.4.12 and Crowd 2.8.3
Steps to Reproduce
- Setup Crowd with delegated LDAP directory
- Configure JIRA as an application in Crowd , refer this documentation
- Configure Crowd user directory in JIRA as a read-only directory
- Try to login with a user(newly created user) in the CROWD directory which is allowed to login to JIRA
Refer the attached screencast newuser.ogv
Expected Results
Newly created user should be able to login for the first time
Actual Results
User is not able to login unless the directory is synchronized
Notes
This seems to be a regression from https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-26882
