Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
As a JIRA admin, we are used to receive requests from users asking to access a project, but we are not able to know if the user really can access the project and which role the user should be applied for.
So, we forward the request to the project lead (also in project administrator role), asking to provide the proper access to the user.
Suggestion.
1 User go to PROJECTS menu and select the desired project
2 JIRA shows a screen saying the user does not have access to the project and there is a button where user can send a notification to the project administrators (role) justifing why the user need to access that project.
3 Project admin receives by email the access request, and add the user to the proper role
4 Project admin can reply the email to the user.
