Comment box not allowing multiline text with IE11 v11.0.9600

With IE Version 11.0.9600.17801 and JIRA v6.4.1 formatting for multiline text is not line separated, and shows up all on the same line without formatting breaks "
" in the comment field only.

Steps to recreate:

• Open Notepad
• write two lines of text
• Select all text and copy to clipboard
• Open Jira Ticket
• Start new comment
• Paste text from notepad
