      Atlassian Update –

      20 March 2018
      Hi everyone,

Thank you for your interest in this issue.

While this suggestion has gathered significant interest, we're unable to implement all of the excellent suggestions you make. We don't plan to work on this for the foreseeable future. This suggestion will be reviewed in about 12 months time, at which point we’ll consider whether we need to alter its status.

We understand this decision will be disappointing to everyone who voted for this issue. While we believe this suggestion would improve the product, after careful review of the most pressing needs of our customers, we've decided to prioritize other areas of the Jira Server roadmap, including:

      • Performance and stability improvements
      • Archiving projects for improved performance
      • Optimising the use of custom fields
      • Improving performance of boards
      • Improving Jira notifications
      • Allowing users to edit shared filters and dashboards
      • Mobile app for Jira Server

We hope that you appreciate our candid and transparent communication. You can learn more about our approach to highly voted server suggestions here.

To learn more on how your suggestions are reviewed, see our updated workflow for server feature suggestions.

      Kind regards,
      Jira Server Product Management

If you have multiple Pie Charts on the same dashboard, the colors seem to be assigned somewhat randomly. It would be useful to be able to customize these, both color and order/arrangement, so that they are consistent across multiple gadgets.

Anyone thinking that Atlassian might actually implement that is delusional. 8 years. Just close it: "Won't do"

I can just agree on the previous comments!
Its anoying that we can not assign a green to e.g. "done" and a red to "open".
But that the color assignment in the same dashboard is even mixed  up, makes it unusable for management presentations (too confusign)
It´s more than dissapointing that this feature request is open for 8 years!!!
Actually I would rate the current behaving more as a serious bug! Especialy because of the  mix up.

After almost 8 years, there is still no solution to this seemingly simple issue besides third party application which is not an option for many users. The Jira gadgets and charts would be a million times more useful if you could customize colors. Do not understand how this has not been made a priority in the 8 years that it has been an issue. Makes reporting from Jira essentially useless as all anyone can focus on is incorrect colors for done/todo/etc.

I understand the need to prioritise our "excellent suggestions" (as you put it), but the problem with not doing something simple like this, is that a nearly brilliant feature is left in an MVP state, with significantly lower value. As has been said by others, in many use cases the pie charts are pretty useless without the option to set colours.

            Love to see this feature

It seems to me unbelievable that this issue is still not fixed. The pie charts are meaningless if the colours change. Of course a third party plugin can fix this but in a big company (like mine) using a standard template, it is hard to get agreement to use 3rd party plugins. If Jira fail to address this type of issue then more people will start to move to competitor products like Azure Dev Ops. I have used Azure Dev Ops and (whilst it has its own issues) its UX is a lot more user customisable / sensible.
