Created and Updated time value from client side doesn't reflect to JIRA server date time

      Hi everyone,

      After reviewing the overall customer interest and impact of this bug report we have decided to close this issue down. Our analysis has shown that over time this issue hasn't collected a significant number of votes, watchers, comments, or support cases from customers and therefore has remained very low on our priority list. Given these findings we can conclude it will not be fixed in the foreseeable future and wish to be transparent about our priorities by closing it as Timed Out.

      Although we're aware this issue may be still important to those of you who were involved in the initial conversations around it, we want to be clear by managing your expectations regarding the likelihood of a fix for it. The Jira team do their best to prioritise the issues that have high and critical impact with broad pervasiveness reflected in series of different factors.     Description

      When an user view the date time in JIRA issue screen, they see the Date Time custom field value is in future 3 minutes which is correct. Because, user client is in backward 3 minute and their JIRA server time is in future 3 minute. But, after wait for 2 minutes later, it seem Created And Updated date doesn't update at all where shown a few seconds ago value. For example:

      Cause

      JIRA server and client time is in-sync with each other.

      Steps to reproduce the problem:

      1. Add a date time picker field and configure to use the current date as the default option
      2. Set client time as per client_datetime.png backward 3 minute from JIRA server time as per create_issue_screen.png
      3. Create a new issue and monitor the date time from view screen.

      Finding

      • Server and Client has the same timezone.
