Customer is using Github/Gitlab and has established a DVCS connection to the repos.
However, when attempting to Create Branch from an issue in JIRA, it's always sending them to Bitbucket.
The customer needs to create branches in Github and Gitlab repositories.

[JRASERVER-35175] Implement Create Branch feature in DVCS connector plugin for Github and Gitlab integration
Hmm, considering this ticket was opened in 2013 I think the chance of it getting implemented by EoY is very low.
Also, now there are much better tools to do Software project management than Jira
Going to have to migrate to a different tool if this feature doesn't get implemented by EoY
The plugin didn't scale to meet our needs so we're up a river without a paddle now.
Please plan to implement it. Im pretty sure that with a lot of things already integrated, it wont be too much on your side, but has a huge advantage for your customers.
Terrible for business though... the deeper integration between Bitbucket and Jira (via application links rather than the DVCS module) is a key selling point for Bitbucket.
Seriously, since 2013 you have claimed "Yes you can link to GitHub repos through our DVCS feature" and this type of table stakes feature has been missing. I would be so embarrassed as a developer to release something like this.
+300. All the development group we have - wants this feature.
Please plan to implement it. Im pretty sure that with a lot of things already integrated, it wont be too much on your side, but has a huge advantage for your customers. 
Whoever is able to manage this issue should either close the ticket or finally define a roadmap for it.
