Description
Link to JIRA from exported Word document fails because URL contains special characters: '?' and '=' which does not convert properly in browser.
Steps:
- Open a JIRA issue with comments on the ticket.
- Click on the Views button at top right, and select Word.
- Click Open button on "Open or Save?" dialog.
- In the Word file, CTRL-Click on the "username" link in the comment section.
An error page is displayed:
Not Found (404)
/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa%3Fname=username
Could not find what you were looking for. Maybe you should raise an issue.
JIRA home
If I change the '%3F' to '?' and '%3D' to '=' in the URL, the correct page is displayed.
Link from Word document has: https://<server>/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=username
Page tries to load as: https://<server>/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa%3Fname%3Dusername
Similar to issue reported on JRA-32803 which was fixed on 5.2.11, but we are currently running 5.2.11 version.
