      We've found out from a few issues that customers have had with searching that there are peculiarities to JIRA search behaviour that result from our implementaton of Lucene, described on issues linked to this issue (and issues linked to those issues). As we've not elected to address the specific implementation quirks, we can help our users by publishing details related to the actual behaviour of the product.
