So it may help if we pair on this one, however our SSL docs need some more fixing. I was on a long screenshare with a customer who is using one of our comments on the page, which is actually completely spot on for configuring a java keystore: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Running+JIRA+over+SSL+or+HTTPS?focusedCommentId=218277535#comment-218277535
I'm thinking we could possibly split this into 3 pages:
- openSSL configuration for reverse proxy (say apache)
- java keystore self-signed certificate. this is mostly good but would be easier to split it into another page.
- java keystore ca signed certificate. this is described exactly in https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Running+JIRA+over+SSL+or+HTTPS?focusedCommentId=218277535#comment-218277535
Thanks
