Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Documentation for configuring/running products to use SSL are not consistent across products.
This arose from a customer requesting that the JIRA SSL config page be updated with more details, similar to the FishEye equivalent. Quoting the customer:
...
http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Running+JIRA+over+SSL+or+HTTPS "Import Certificate into the Trust-store" step is pretty vague when it comes to specifics, and should probably be updated to look a lot more like http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/FISHEYE/FishEye+SSL+Configuration, although it did not mention cloning to the alias, and relies on an external URL instead of including the information in the body of the Fisheye article.
...
Can we look over all of the SSL docs to make sure they're providing consistent information?
