Components and version schemes

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      1. Most of our projects use components and versions with the same names.

      For example, project A will have components Web, DB, UI.

      Project B will also have components Web, DB, UI.

      Every time we create a new project, the same components need to be recreated. It will be great if we can have a scheme that will automatically provide a list of components.

      2. One screen to edit all schemes for project

      This will be great as currently, every project created, we need to go to Issue Types and change the scheme. Then workflow, change the scheme, then field configuration, change the scheme.
      A single screen to update all these schemes will be great.
