Issue stays in my "In Progess" even after assigned away

I created an issue then chose "Start Progress" from workflow. It appeared in my "In Progress" box on the dashboard. This is good.

Then I assigned it to someone else. It stayed on my dashboard. This is bad.

Then I assigned it back to myself, started progress, stopped it again, assigned it to someone else. No longer in my dashboard. This is good.

Which of these is not like the others?
