New issues are immediately "OPEN"

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Is there a way to make new issues in a "NEW" state to be changed to "OPEN" by a project manager or other person responsible for the project.

      Also the only step after resolved is closed. Is there a recommended process for an issue go though QA? I.E. when a developer resolves an issue, we like to pass it to QA, then QA is the one actually to classify the issue as fully resolved. Then the PM (or client) cas close the issue themselves when they are happy with the resolution.
