Previous to LDAP integration, we had users such as john, sam, bob, phil, melissa, linda, etc. Now that we have implemented LDAP integration our naming convention is <first initial of first name>-<last name>, (jsmith, ssmith, bwilson, pbears), so the users who have local jira accounts can't utilize their LDAP accounts without starting from scratch.
Can there be a process developed where we can migrate (user: linda, account:local)'s data to (user:lsmith, account:ldap)?
Users would really like to use one password for all sites (without having to set it to be the same in JIRA) and have that password sync with LDAP. This works great for new users who are using the accounts integrated w/ LDAP, but old users cannot do this
