Having a lot of versions (1700+) makes managing them impossible because the browser becomes extremely slow

    Description

      We have a project with 1785 versions as of now and when we try to manage them in the admin panel, the browser become extremely slow. Scrolling with the mouse or with the bar takes several seconds, clicking Archive, Delete etc. also takes several seconds. Just loading the page with all the versions is extremely slow.

      The issue is present on Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari on a 2.66Ghz Quad Core, 8GB of ram PC and also on slower or faster PCs on both Windows XP, 7.

      The only workaround is to modify them directly in the database but it would be much more efficient if our users could do it themselves in the admin panel instead of having to ask us to go in the database and change whatever they need.
