Today JIRA notifications only exist at issue level, not at project (version) level, so it is impossible to be notified when the release date of any version of a project is changed.

I tried creating custom events, but events can only be triggered on workflow transition post functions, and this is at issue level. It would be great if JIRA had notifications at project level.
