Key shortcut <Windows>+<E> falsely triggers "edit issue"

Problem:
When I use the key shortcut <Windows>+<E> to launch a new Windows Explorer instance, JIRA falsely triggers the edit issue functionality if the browser has the current input focus.

Solution:
The JIRA JavaScript Code using the Key Bindings must take the event.metaKey and other key modifiers into account on interpreting key presses.
