Description
Hello,
within certain organizations it would be very convenient to be able to authenticate users with x509 certificates.
Implementation would require custom OSUser providers to:
- check client certificate for:
- revocation
- validity
- identity
- map the certificate to a JIRA username (CN to username?) and proceed with normal authorization
I have also opened a thread on the Atlassian Forums: Authenticating & Authorizing with x509 client certificates
