Background: Having added hundreds of issues to JIRA over teh last few years I now really find notifications hard to work with.

I would like to be able to have personal notification preferences and filter out (or add additional) notification types. Probably this function should be restricted to a named group or project role "Personal Nofication Preferences"

If there any hints and tips on notification settings that that would be appreciated as a workaround too.
