Comment security select field does not show up. Instead a list of roles and users is shown and the log contains velocity errors.

      The problem only happens if two threads are trying to load the same macro at the same time. The log will contain the following error:

      2007-08-14 22:39:53,515 resin-tcp-connection-j2ee.extranet.atlassian.com-jira:6802-39 ERROR [velocity] VM error : createLevelSelect. Null AST

      This is caused by by VELOCITY-514 which in turn seems to be caused by VELOCITY-24. JIRA currently depends on Velocity 1.4, and these bugs have been fixed in Velocity 1.5. A restart will resolve the problem.

      We should upgrade JIRA to Velocity 1.5 sometime in the near future (and brace ourselves for any new Velocity bugs ).
