Issue Summary

Inconsistent behaviour is seen when adding URLs to plain text fields. Valid URIs are not getting converted to hyperlinks

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a custom field of type Text Field (single line)
2. Add that field to the Screens of a Project
3. Create an Issue and try to add a URI without a dot eg: `https://tenneco-ca-eng.atlassian.net/`

Expected Results

Valid URIs should be auto converted to hyperlink

Actual Results

Sometimes, the URIs are not getting converted to hyperlinks in the fields.

The below exception is thrown in the xxxxxxx.log file:

Workaround

Reloading the page seems to be fixing the issue for now.
