We utilize a development workflow that involves Commit -> Pull Request -> Build -> Release steps, using Azure DevOps. Currently, while branch and pull request information from Azure Repos appears in Jira, the associated build and release data are not captured. This enhancement request is to ensure that all stages of our development flow, including CI builds and CD releases, are visible within Jira.

Current Flow:

1. Branch - Appears in Jira (Source: Azure Repos)
2. Commit - Appears in Jira (Source: Custom Code)
3. Pull Request - Appears in Jira (Source: Azure Repos)
4. CI Build - Does not appear in Jira
5. CD Release - Does not appear in Jira

Challenges:

• Builds initiated through a Branch Protection Policy in Azure DevOps are not currently visible in Jira.

• Deployments associated with these builds are also missing.

• Manual execution of stages in Azure DevOps before release results in the release not being displayed in Jira.

Request:

1. Enable the display of CI Build and CD Release data within Jira to provide a comprehensive view of the development process.
2. Ensure that any manual intervention in the workflow is also captured and displayed in Jira.
3. Improve the visibility of pull requests, including their titles and branch names, which contain Jira IDs.

Benefit: Providing this level of visibility in Jira will allow teams to track and manage the entire development lifecycle more effectively, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to complete and accurate project information.
