With the configurable fields for child issues new feature, the Open Preview option is not coming for Child issues. When you click on a work item from the Child Issues panel, the work item opens in the full issue view..

Please enable the old experience back, i.e., the Open Preview option for the child issues, where the child issues were opened in the center of the same tab.
