Issue Summary
When attempting to update a user's project role in JIRA Cloud, the operation fails with a "Something went wrong" message and a http 500 error. This occurs when the instance contains a large number of projects and project roles.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to JIRA Administration → User Management.
- Select a user and attempt to update their project role assignments.
- Have 2000+ projects and 10+ project roles
- The update fails with a 500 Internal Server Error and the message "Something went wrong."
Expected Results
- It should be possible to update the project role without HTTP 500 error.
Actual Results
- It is not possible to update the project role.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
