Summary
If you have Portfolio, Jira will create the Team custom field.
If you tried to search for this field on Jira using the Basic Search, Jira will not allow you to select this field.
Environment
Jira Cloud.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Portfolio
- Go to a project, and click on All issues in the left navigation
- On the right hand side, click on the Advanced search link
- Click on + More and search for the Team field
- Try to select this field
Expected Results
The user should be able to select this field option
Actual Results
The Team field is greyed out and cannot be selected. When hovering over the red info icon, the message states "Team is not applicable for the current project and/or issue type".
Parent link field is also greyed out in the simple search.
Workaround
Use the advanced search (JQL) to search for issues using the "Team" & "Parent link" fields.

[JRACLOUD-88579] Cannot filter issues on the Advanced Roadmaps 'Team' & 'Parent link' fields in the issue navigator
Is there any update on this? Can the fix be implemented soon? Experiencing the same issues and frustrations as previous commenters.
WOW, new Advanced Roadmaps user here. This is one of the first issues I ran into. Sad to see this is such an old issue.
This is really a pretty serious issue for my team. I have a wide array of users, some who are not comfortable using JQL. And not being able to use the basic query for this means that they are not able to query issues based on team at all unless they were to take the time required to learn how to use JQL (which is not really an option for business users).
Really disappointing that this "premium" feature has a bug this glaring that is on the long term backlog.
I agree, this needs to be fixed ASAP.
Questions:
- will this resolve the Parent link field suffering the same fate as well?
- will it mean the fields are selectable in Dashboards Gadgets etc…??
Closed as the Advanced Roadmaps Team field has been replaced by a new Team field that does work, and Parent Link has been replaced by Parent which also does work in the Issue Navigator.
