Issue Summary
When the key of a team-managed project is updated, and the reference to the previous key is removed, issues that appear on the board still reference the old key. This makes the user unable to open the issue view when clicking on a board card, causes certain issue operations to fail and also causes the Timeline view to fail to load.
Steps to Reproduce
- Change the project key in a Jira Software TMP project via project settings > details
- Remove the reference to the previous key and save (see screenshot below)
- Navigate back to the board and refresh the page
Expected Results
Issues on the board now reference the new project key
Actual Results
Issues on the board reference the previous project key.
Workaround
- Change the project key back to the previous value, save
- Change the project key to the desired value, save
- IMPORTANT - don't remove the previous project key from the "Previous project keys" dropdown
Alternative: Follow the steps in the pinned comment from Jamie Vasales to update the board filter to use the new key.
