Issue Summary
User search is now Project-scoped and is not dependent on Global permissions.
However, if the User picker field is placed in the transition screen, it still requires the users to have the 'Browse users and groups' Global permission.
- If the same field is placed in the issue view screen, the users can use it without the requirement of Global permission.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a User picker(single user) field.
- Add the field in the issue view screen.
- Add the field to another screen and add that screen to any transition in the workflow associated with the project.
- Test the field behavior in the issue view screen and the transition screen.
Expected Results
The field should behave the same and users should be allowed to search for other users under that field in both Issue view screen and Transition screen.
Actual Results
User picker does not allow to search for users in the field placed in the Transition screen and has a padlock icon if the user performing this action does not have the 'Browse users and groups' Global permission.
Workaround
You can provide the required users with 'Browse users and groups' Global permission.
