Issue Summary
As per the documentation, when no translation is configured for a specific language, the default issue constant name and description should be displayed. However, we have observed that certain statuses are being translated, even in the absence of configured translations for these issue constants.
Steps to Reproduce
- Set your preferred language to English in your Account Preferences (https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/account-preferences).
- Create a new status and name it "Won".
- Associate the newly created status with any project's workflow.
- Create a new issue on this project and transition it to this status.
- The status will appear as "Won" in Issue Search, Issue View, Status configuration page, etc.
- Note that there are no translations to French for this status from the status translation page.
- Change your preferred language to French in your Account Preferences (https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/account-preferences).
- Now, the status will appear as "Remporté" (in Issue Search, Issue View, Status configuration page, etc.) even though no translation was provided (only the status name is translated; the description remains untranslated).
Expected Results
Statuses (as well as other 'issue constants' like issue types, resolutions, etc.) should not be translated unless a specific translation has been provided.
Actual Results
Some statuses without specific translations are being translated.
Workaround
To address this issue, manually overwrite the name and description for each status in each available language.
