Issue Summary
When the CC Assignee is checked during the mail handler configuration, it is expected that the email address in the CC field of an email should set the user as an assignee of the created issue.
However, when the user belongs to both Jira Software and JSM Customer portal as an active user, the mail handler does not assign the CC'd user as the assignee of the created issue.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add a user to Jira Software and the user should have an active account
- Add the same user to a JSM customer portal and the user should have an active account on the portal, that is the user has logged in to the customer portal at least once.
- Create a mail handler in Jira Cloud to create issues in a Project
- Tick the option CC Assignee during the mail handler creation
- Send an email to the mail handler account with the CC field set to the email address of the user added to both JSW and JSM customer portal
Expected Results
The user in the CC field should be assigned the newly created issue in the project.
Actual Results
The assignee field is empty on the newly created issue.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
