when assignee changes, previous assignee is getting the Jira issue update notification

      Issue Summary

      When the assignee is changed manually or via Automation, the previous assignee gets Jira issue updated notification when the ticket is unassigned.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Assign a ticket to User A and make sure user is not a watcher
      2. Now assign the ticket to user B via automation or manually
      3. User B received the issue-assigned notification
      4. User A received the issue updated notification

      Expected Results

      User A should not be notified that the issue has been unassigned.

      Actual Results

      User A received the issue updated notification when the ticket was unassigned.

      Workaround

      Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
