NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
In Confluence it is possible to edit a text and check "minor change, no notifications will be sent" to diable e-mail notifications about the change.
This feature would be really helpful in JIRA, to avoid the e-mail "spamming" that exists today, because JIRA cant be configured to e.g. only send mail once a day including all relevant changes.
If one of my customers reports an issue, and i add 10 attachments to the issue. The customer receives 10 e-mails. This is annoying.
If i could check a "minor change, no notifications will be sent" field when
- executing a workflow action
- edition an issue
- creating an attachment
- adding a comment
that would be a great feature.
Of course, there should be a permission allowing this fuctionality. I don't want my customers to be able to edit issues without notifying me.
