Cannot delete a project permanently from the trash when it has a large number of users associated with a role

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

When attempting to delete a project from the project trash, if more than 5000 users with roles have been added to the People page, the project will not be deleted, despite the message indicating a successful action.

This has been reproduced on JSM with role 'Service Desk Customer' and on JSW with role 'Administrator'.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Grant a role to more than 5000 users in the Project Settings > People page.
      2. Send the project to the trash.
      3. Now delete the project permanently from the trash.

      Expected Results

The project will be deleted and removed from the trash.

      Actual Results

The project is not deleted and remains in the trash.

      Workaround

      1. Recover the project from the trash.
      2. Remove roles from users until the people page has fewer than 5000 users.
      3. Now proceed to delete the project again.

      Note

The number of 5000 users is an estimate; it may vary from project to project, and it may be necessary to reduce the number of users on the people page even further.
