Ability to reorder / sort subtasks when viewing the (non-epic) parent task on company-managed projects

This Jira Feature Request JRACLOUD-40929 enabled this functionality in Team Managed Projects and in Company Managed Projects for Epics but would like the same sort/order functionality in Company Managed Projects for "Child issues" where parent issue would list the child issues and be able to sort/order those Child issues with the same functionality.

When viewing a task in a company-managed project, there is no option to reorder the issues in its Subtasks section:

This functionality already exists in team-managed projects where the Child issues section has an Order by dropdown:

As I did not receive any responses to my last comment I am closing this ticket.

We've found that this ticket is a duplicate of the request JRACLOUD-78353 – Add more sort / order by options in the child / subtask / linked issues section when viewing an epic / parent issue which has more votes.

We encourage you to watch and vote on the above instead. All internal ticket references on this ticket have been transferred. If you do not think this issue should have been closed, please add a comment here saying why and we can reopen it.

The related ticket JRACLOUD-78353 – Add more sort / order by options in the child / subtask / linked issues section when viewing an epic / parent issue has now been broadened to include subtasks. With that in mind, I would like to suggest we close this one so as not to dilute votes. Is that ok with the watchers of this issue?

@ Anusha, I think again the ticket is not about children but rather subtasks- @ Matt said that the idea is to do this on NOT an epic- in other words, subtasks. I also see what you see with the ability to order the tasks in an epic (I followed your screenshot). However, if you drill down another layer into that task and THAT task has subtasks, the ability to sort goes away. I still can't post a screenshot, but I think if you try it, you'll see what I mean.

9e9869738d24 thank you for explaining. I think the terminology may have changed since this ticket was first created.

I'd like to edit the title of this ticket to "Ability to reorder / sort subtasks when viewing the parent task on company-managed projects":

This functionality already exists in team-managed projects where the Child issues section has an Order by  dropdown:

It is hard to tell from your screenshot, but it looks like you are using an epic. The purpose of this was to be able to do this functionality on tickets other than epics

            I believe this functionality exists:

Could the watchers of this issue let me know if they disagree?
