Issue Summary
After adding an animated png file to a Jira issue the image renders correctly and plays the animation in the thumbnail and preview, however after the page is refreshed the image fails to load triggering a an error noting
"Something went wrong.
We couldn't generate a preview for this file.
Try downloading the file to view it."
Steps to Reproduce
- Add an animated png file to an issue you can do this by
- add one to the issue directly (drag and drop or copy-paste)
- add to the description
- add to comment
- the Animated png at this point uploads to the issue and renders correctly in all thumbnails fields and preview
- refresh the browser
Expected Results
The animated png is expected to still render correctly in the thumbnail, fields, and preview
Actual Results
The animated png file no longer renders on the issue and preview fails with error
The below exception is shown when attempting to view in preview:
Something went wrong. We couldn't generate a preview for this file. Try downloading the file to view it.
Workaround
Currently, the animated png file can be downloaded and viewed locally but will not display on the issue after the page is refreshed
