Issue Summary
This is reproducible on Data Center: n/a
An archived project is still visible as an option to select in the Basic Filter of Advanced Issue search.
As of now when a project is archived in Jira, we can still use the project key in JQL.
However, the error message shown states that the project is not available. Although this is correct, but the "Project" dropdown for JQL auto suggests the project key( Refer screenshot), which is already archived.
Either do not auto suggest archived projects, as is we are not able to use them in JQL, due to the above error OR Please provide a clear error message stating that the project is archived.
Steps to Reproduce
- Archive a project in your Jira instance.
- Go to Filters > Advanced Issue Search.
- While in the Basic Filter, search the archived project under the Project field.
Expected Results
The archived project should not be available in the dropdown menu so the users can't select them.
Actual Results
The archived project is still visible and can be selected by the user. After selecting the project and hitting Search, the below error shows and no issues shown:
The value '<project key>' does not exist for the field 'project'.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
