As of now, we can make/add an Epic as a parent to an issue in Team-managed projects, but we don't have an option to link an Epic using the Epic Link field.

Having an Epic link field with the same feature as in the Company Managed projects is advisable as it not only increases the usability of the TM projects but also removes confusion.
