Date Picker feature pulls date in unsupported format if language is set to Danish

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Issue Summary

When using the date picker feature (calendar icon), the date is formatted incorrectly if the language is used in Danish.

When using Danish as the profile language, Jira expects months to be formatted with a period character right next to it, but the date picker feature does not automatically include this character, forcing users to manually insert it.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Update your profile language to be Danish
      2. Click the + button to create a new issue
      3. Use the date picker feature to set a value for a date field (i.e. Due Date)
      4. Click Create

      Expected Results

      Issue creation works as expected

      Actual Results

An error saying that date is formatted incorrectly is returned.

      Workaround

In Danish, the expected format references months with a period character at the end (e.g. jan. for January)

Manually including a (.) character next to the month allows you to proceed with the issue creation.
