Description
Issue Summary
Ability to have a Workflow Transition Rule for Team Managed Projects to check if Field is Not Null similar to the "Field Required Validator" in Company Managed Projects.
Steps to Reproduce
- Edit Issue WorkFlow
- Create a Rule to check if the field is not null during the transition
Expected Results
To have a Workflow Transition Rule for Team Managed Projects to check if Field is Not Null similar to the "Field Required Validator" in Company Managed Projects.
Also, there is no way to return a custom error similar to a company-managed projects validator. This is tracked as part of another Feature Request JRACLOUD-79121
Actual Results
No way to validate if the Field is not null during Transition in Team Managed Projects.
Workaround
- Mark the Field as Required, but this field will be required even during issue creation, not just during the transition.
- Restrict to when an issue is a specific value but you have to specify what the field's value will be i.e. you can't say "not empty"
Original description
At the moment in the Team-Managed Jira Software projects it is not possible to add a validator for transition if the field is required/mandatory.
In the Team-Managed Jira Service Management projects, there is
" Remind people to update empty fields " rule with a custom message.
It will be nice to have a Validators or please add Remind people to update empty fields to JSW projects.
