Description
Issue Summary
Ability to share issue layout between projects is being rolled out to customers as per the ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-71630.
However, currently this is not working for Sub-task issue type, although UI says the layout was successfully copied.
Steps to Reproduce
- Make sure that issue type Sub-task is the only issue type in the Screen scheme and is shared with Sub-tasks of different project. ( refer attachment)
- Navigate to Edit issue layout , then click on "Copy Issue layout".
- You will be prompted with "choose destination Project". Note that this screen does not display the issue type "Sub-task" as well. ( refer screenshot)
- Review and then copy. We get a successful message that the issue layout was copied.
Expected Results
Issue layout should be copied for Sub-task issue types.
Actual Results
Although there is a success message, but the issue layout will NOT be copied for sub-task
Note
This happens only when issue type sub-task has a different screen scheme in the project. If it shares the screen scheme with other issue types , then issue layout is copied as expected.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
