The native desktop app in macOS does not have a link formatting option in its formatting toolbar. Links can be pasted raw, but cannot be edited to allow custom text.

Adding a link tool (and possibly adding a keyboard shortcut for Cmd+K) would allow people to hyperlink text in issue descriptions and comments.
