Unify the scrollbar appearance on different platforms(Win,Macbook)

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Currently, in mac, the scrollbar appears only when scrolling through the page and disappears when no activity on the page. However, in Windows, all the scrollbars are always visible and this gives an unpleasant look in the UI.

      The customer would like to have a unified look across all the platforms and a consistent appearance for the scrollbars on all platforms.

            Yes, we will replace advanced search soon and that will add consistency in the way these scrollbars are shown across advanced search and issues in the project.

            Screenshot above is EAP of unified search that looks ugly but still better compared to current state. It was introduced later than I've created the ticket. It has custom scrollbars, so hopefully Atlassian will fix it some day

            Thank you for suggesting this. This experience is not unique to Windows and happens on MacOS if an external mouse is connected to the laptop instead of the trackpad. 

            Please refer to the MacOS screenshot below:

             

            Can you try the steps here and see if that resolves the problem for you in Windows?
